Exceptions may be granted upon payment of the \u201cyoung driver\u201d surcharge.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"1268\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"1268\"><strong data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"874\">Required Documents<\/strong><br data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"877\" \/>A valid category B (or higher) driving licence with legible European characters, held for at least 12 months. The licence must be issued by a European Union country or, alternatively, accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit. Photocopies or temporary\/replacement documents will not be accepted. A valid form of ID is also required, along with one or more bank-issued credit cards.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1884\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1884\"><strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1293\">Authorised Driver<\/strong><br data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1296\" \/>Only the person named on the rental agreement is permitted to drive the vehicle. The customer must inform the branch, at the time of contract signing, of any additional drivers. Each additional authorised driver is subject to a supplementary fee. The deposit amount will be held on your credit card limit as a pre-authorisation by the card issuer and will not be charged. This deposit is required to cover any additional costs that may arise during the rental period.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"535\">The deposit amounts are as follows:<\/p><ul data-start=\"536\" data-end=\"670\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"536\" data-end=\"580\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"580\">\u20ac500.00 for vehicles in categories A\/B\/C<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"581\" data-end=\"623\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"623\">\u20ac800.00 for vehicles in categories D\/E<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"670\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"670\">\u20ac1,000.00 for all other vehicle categories<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" data-start=\"672\" data-end=\"966\">If you have booked a prepaid rental through an online broker, the deposit amount may vary depending on the broker. This amount is usually stated on your voucher or on the broker\u2019s website. The rental provider reserves the right to refuse the rental if the deposit amount is deemed insufficient.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"1522\">The release of the pre-authorised amount will take place upon the return of the vehicle. A release receipt will be issued at the counter or sent to you via email. However, the actual availability of the funds may not be immediate and is subject to the policies of your card issuer. The release process can take up to 30 days from the date of the unblocking. Once the deposit is released on our end, we have no control over the time it takes for the funds to become available again\u2014this is managed entirely by credit card companies and interbank networks.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1524\" data-end=\"1746\">If, upon return, the vehicle shows any internal or external damage, irregularities, mechanical faults, or other issues requiring further inspection by specialised personnel, the deposit may be withheld for a longer period.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1748\" data-end=\"2244\">To provide the security deposit, you must present a bank-issued credit card with embossed numbers. However, for a limited selection of vehicles and only for certain categories, it is possible to rent using a debit or prepaid Visa or Mastercard, provided it bears the cardholder\u2019s name and surname. In such cases, it is mandatory to purchase an additional insurance policy at the counter to eliminate or reduce the contractual damage liability. Customers must meet our minimum rental requirements and must accept and sign the rental agreement. Bookings can be made by phone through our staff, in person at our agency, or online at <strong data-start=\"760\" data-end=\"781\">www.<\/strong><strong data-start=\"1706\" data-end=\"1727\"><a rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1725\">globerent<\/a><\/strong>.it.<br data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"785\" \/>The applicable rates at the time of booking will be honoured when the rental agreement is signed, thereby finalising the contract. Until that moment, no information or content shall be deemed contractually binding. <strong data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1053\">A booking does not constitute a rental agreement.<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1346\">If you book using the <strong data-start=\"1077\" data-end=\"1102\">online payment option<\/strong>, you will be required to pay the amount shown on the website as a <strong data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1189\">security deposit<\/strong>. This amount will be charged immediately and serves as confirmation of your booking. The remaining balance will be charged upon collection of the vehicle.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1348\" data-end=\"1585\">If the vehicle is not collected at the agreed date and time, and more than <strong data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1437\">59 minutes<\/strong> have elapsed, the rental provider reserves the right to consider the booking <strong data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1528\">cancelled<\/strong> and to issue an invoice for the deposit previously paid.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"2056\">You may cancel your booking up to <strong data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"1638\">2 days before<\/strong> the scheduled collection date. To do so, you must send an email to <strong data-start=\"1706\" data-end=\"1727\"><a rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1725\">info@globerent.it<\/a><\/strong> requesting cancellation and a refund of the deposit. If this notice is not provided within the stated time frame, and the vehicle has been held at your disposal, <strong data-start=\"1890\" data-end=\"1918\">no refund will be issued<\/strong>, and a valid invoice will be sent for the deposit. In the event of cancellation, the refund will be processed within <strong data-start=\"2036\" data-end=\"2055\">10 working days<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2338\">A <strong data-start=\"2060\" data-end=\"2079\">no-show penalty<\/strong> will apply if the booking is cancelled due to failure to meet the minimum rental requirements, or if the customer fails to cancel and does not appear at the rental desk. This penalty corresponds to the <strong data-start=\"2282\" data-end=\"2315\">entire amount previously paid<\/strong> and is non-refundable.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2340\" data-end=\"3020\">Customers may <strong data-start=\"2354\" data-end=\"2378\">modify their booking<\/strong> at any time prior to the scheduled pick-up by contacting the agency or sending an email, subject to availability. Modifications on the same day of collection are also possible, depending on availability. A confirmation email will be sent detailing the new booking terms and any additional charges.<br data-start=\"2676\" data-end=\"2679\" \/>All modification requests are subject to availability and may result in a <strong data-start=\"2753\" data-end=\"2772\">change in price<\/strong>, as modified bookings are subject to the rates in effect on the date of change.<br data-start=\"2852\" data-end=\"2855\" \/>If, due to unavailability, we are unable to accommodate the requested modification and the customer chooses to cancel, the <strong data-start=\"2978\" data-end=\"3002\">cancellation penalty<\/strong> will still apply.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3022\" data-end=\"3649\">Accepted payment cards for rentals are <strong data-start=\"3061\" data-end=\"3111\">American Express, Diners, Visa, and MasterCard<\/strong> (prepaid cards excluded).<br data-start=\"3137\" data-end=\"3140\" \/>Prepaid credit cards can be used for online payments but <strong data-start=\"3197\" data-end=\"3240\">will not be accepted at the rental desk<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"3241\" data-end=\"3244\" \/>If the customer does not have a bank-issued credit card with embossed numbers, prior authorisation must be obtained from the branch. In such cases, booking may not be permitted, and the rate may differ from the one displayed on the website.<br data-start=\"3484\" data-end=\"3487\" \/>Payments can be made via our <strong data-start=\"3516\" data-end=\"3546\">secure online payment page<\/strong> using a credit or debit card. Any change to this commitment must be communicated to the branch where the rental began.<br data-start=\"430\" data-end=\"433\" \/>Changes made during the rental period may not be accepted by the branch, which may require the return of the vehicle no later than the date specified in the rental agreement.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"909\">The customer acknowledges that the rental ends on the date and time when both the vehicle and its keys are returned to the rental provider. Failure to return the vehicle and\/or keys more than <strong data-start=\"803\" data-end=\"815\">24 hours<\/strong> after the agreed return time will result in a penalty of <strong data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"906\">\u20ac250.00 for each day of delay<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"911\" data-end=\"1141\">If the vehicle is not returned on the agreed date and more than 24 hours have passed without any contact from the customer, the rental provider reserves the right to report the incident to the authorities for <strong data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1140\">unauthorised use<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"1282\">A rental day is considered to be <strong data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1188\">24 hours<\/strong>, with a <strong data-start=\"1197\" data-end=\"1223\">30-minute grace period<\/strong>. After that, an <strong data-start=\"1240\" data-end=\"1265\">additional rental day<\/strong> will be charged.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1602\">Before collecting the vehicle, the customer must verify that the vehicle&#8217;s condition matches the <strong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1409\">vehicle condition report<\/strong> (so-called \u201ccheck-out form\u201d) provided by the rental provider. Special attention should be paid to the exterior bodywork, windows and mirrors, interior condition, as well as rims and hubcaps.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1604\" data-end=\"2044\">If there is any discrepancy between the actual condition of the vehicle and what is stated on the check-out form, the customer must immediately contact a member of staff to verify the condition jointly <strong data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1816\">before<\/strong> the rental begins.<br data-start=\"1835\" data-end=\"1838\" \/>Any discrepancies reported <strong data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"1874\">after<\/strong> pick-up \u2014 even if supported by photos or witness statements \u2014 will not be considered. Only the <strong data-start=\"1970\" data-end=\"1995\">signed check-out form<\/strong> at the start of the rental will be deemed valid.<\/p><h4 class=\"\" data-start=\"2051\" data-end=\"2076\"><strong data-start=\"2056\" data-end=\"2074\">Vehicle Return<\/strong><\/h4><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2077\" data-end=\"2307\">The customer is obliged to return the vehicle in the <strong data-start=\"2130\" data-end=\"2148\">same condition<\/strong> as it was received, except for normal wear and tear based on mileage. The vehicle must be returned with its <strong data-start=\"2257\" data-end=\"2297\">tyres, documents, and full equipment<\/strong> in place.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2309\" data-end=\"2676\">Returns must take place at the rental provider\u2019s office during normal business hours. At the time of return, the customer will check and sign the <strong data-start=\"2455\" data-end=\"2474\">\u201ccheck-in\u201d form<\/strong> indicating the vehicle&#8217;s condition. In the event of <strong data-start=\"339\" data-end=\"372\">theft, fire, collision damage<\/strong>, or <strong data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"390\">vandalism<\/strong>, a <strong data-start=\"394\" data-end=\"418\">damage liability fee<\/strong> will apply.<br data-start=\"430\" data-end=\"433\" \/>The amount of the liability fee for <strong data-start=\"469\" data-end=\"499\">theft\/fire\/vandalism (STP)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"530\">collision damage (SKO)<\/strong>, as well as the cost of any optional <strong data-start=\"568\" data-end=\"601\">liability reduction or waiver<\/strong>, is specified at the bottom of the rental agreement.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"939\">Liability limitation (STP\u2013SKO) is <strong data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"717\">not an insurance policy<\/strong> and becomes void in the event of <strong data-start=\"751\" data-end=\"792\">wilful misconduct or gross negligence<\/strong> on the part of the customer or any authorised\/unauthorised driver. In such cases, the customer is liable to pay the <strong data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"938\">full value of the vehicle<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"1238\">In the event of total or partial theft or fire, the customer is required to <strong data-start=\"1017\" data-end=\"1048\">file a formal police report<\/strong> and provide a copy to the rental branch within <strong data-start=\"1096\" data-end=\"1108\">24 hours<\/strong> of the incident. The customer must also <strong data-start=\"1149\" data-end=\"1168\">cooperate fully<\/strong> with the rental provider in managing any resulting legal proceedings.<\/p><h4 data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1300\"><strong data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1300\">Waiver of Liability for Damage, Theft, and Fire<\/strong><\/h4><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1541\">The customer may choose to waive the standard liability fees for <strong data-start=\"1367\" data-end=\"1377\">damage<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1379\" data-end=\"1388\">theft<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1394\" data-end=\"1402\">fire<\/strong> (partial or total), by paying an additional <strong data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1460\">daily fee<\/strong>, which must be agreed upon and added at the time of signing the rental contract.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1543\" data-end=\"1862\">Even with liability waiver options, the customer remains obligated to exercise <strong data-start=\"1622\" data-end=\"1655\">reasonable care and vigilance<\/strong> over the vehicle.<br data-start=\"1673\" data-end=\"1676\" \/>In the event of an accident caused by the customer, a <strong data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1766\">\u20ac200.00 + VAT administrative fee<\/strong> will still be charged for claims handling, <strong data-start=\"1810\" data-end=\"1821\">even if<\/strong> the liability waiver has been purchased.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1864\" data-end=\"1899\">Liability waivers <strong data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"1898\">do not cover<\/strong>:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"2116\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"1940\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1902\" data-end=\"1940\">Damage caused by <strong data-start=\"1919\" data-end=\"1940\">natural disasters<\/strong><\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1941\" data-end=\"1989\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"1989\">Damage to the <strong data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"1980\">interior upholstery<\/strong> or cabin<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2034\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2034\">Damage to the <strong data-start=\"2006\" data-end=\"2019\">underbody<\/strong> of the vehicle<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2035\" data-end=\"2068\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2037\" data-end=\"2068\">Damage caused by <strong data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2068\">vegetation<\/strong><\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2069\" data-end=\"2116\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2116\">Loss of <strong data-start=\"2079\" data-end=\"2095\">vehicle keys<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"2099\" data-end=\"2116\">number plates<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2118\" data-end=\"2394\">The customer forfeits all benefits of the liability waiver if they fail to return the keys or fail to provide the required police report in the event of theft. In such cases, the customer must pay the <strong data-start=\"2319\" data-end=\"2340\">full market value<\/strong> of the vehicle based on the <strong data-start=\"2369\" data-end=\"2387\">Eurotax Yellow<\/strong> guide.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2396\" data-end=\"2557\">In all cases of theft or fire, regardless of liability waivers, the customer will be required to pay an additional <strong data-start=\"2511\" data-end=\"2527\">\u20ac90.00 + VAT<\/strong> as a <strong data-start=\"2533\" data-end=\"2556\">claims handling fee<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<details id=\"e-n-accordion-item-1376\" class=\"e-n-accordion-item\"
